What happens when I book?
Four steps from first message to finished tattoo.

Get in touch
Call the shop or send a message on Instagram. Tell us what you have in mind, where it goes on your body and roughly how big.

Free consultation
Come in or talk it through with your artist. Bring photos of anything that helps explain the idea, and for a cover-up, a clear photo of the old tattoo.

Custom design
Every piece is drawn for you. Large Polynesian work is usually drawn freehand on the skin so it follows the shape of your body.

Tattoo sessions
Small pieces can be done in one sitting. Sleeves, chest panels, back pieces and big cover-ups are usually built over several sessions.
Is the consultation free?
Yes. South Seas offers a free consultation before every tattoo, whether you want a small piece, a full sleeve or a cover-up. In the shop’s words: “Let us know if you want to come in for a free consultation, or want to set an appointment.”
Can I book a specific artist?
Yes. Message @robsolitattoos for Rob, the owner (Polynesian, freehand, cover-ups), or @ajatattoos for Aja (fine line, watercolor, script, florals). Not sure? Call the shop and we’ll point you to the right artist. See our artists.
Can I get a design that’s already drawn?
Yes. Besides fully custom work, the shop posts pre-drawn designs that are ready to tattoo. See flash and pre-drawn designs.

How do I know I’m talking to the real South Seas?
Only book through the shop phone or the three Instagram accounts below. If anyone else asks you for a deposit in the shop’s name, don’t pay it; call the shop to check.
Watch out for fake accounts. A fake account using our name (@southseastattoocompany_) has asked people to send deposits. It is not us. Never send a deposit to an account or email you can’t verify.
